"Most of my adult  life I have created lists of challenges or goals for myself, written out, other times only in my head, mostly for the purpose of accountability, to build strength and grit, to expand my experiences, and to have fun.  In 2011, as the manager of Diablo Rock Gym in Concord, CA I created a yearly challenge list for gym members which the community called the DRG Challenge List.  Every year following I put out 150 or so challenges to be completed throughout the year. Many challenges were gym, fitness and climbing related. Other challenges were designed to build character, provide new and cool experiences and to connect the community.
Starting in 2020 I am creating a new challenge list which I will be sharing with anyone who wants to participate. I’ll be encouraging YOU to participate in the challenge.  My goal is to provide a tool and support to those of you who want to Do Hard Things, Have New Experiences, Build Strength, Resilience and Confidence, Be Part of an Inspirational Community, and have fun.   Hans Florine

"I’ve made some mistakes, and I’ve had some ‘successes.’ The following is a big truth: ‘successful people’ have failed more than people who are ‘failures.’ Successful people have just found a goal worth failing at."

Meet Hans & Liesbet: Quote

As a professional coach and trainer Liesbet has been using Restorative Practices to help communities, businesses, families and individuals since 2012.  Liesbet has over 20 years experience in the wellness industry on both the practitioner and operational ends of the business. Between 1998 and 2014 she started and successfully operated 4 different Bay Area wellness businesses, including a wellness center, outdoor boot camps, and a crossfit gym.   Liesbet knows that the financial success of a business doesn’t have to come at the expense of the wellness of its owner and team members. Since her move to from the SF Bay Area to Lake Tahoe Liesbet has focused on her coaching and training business, teaching clients how to use language and systems to build trust, support authentic relationships and create ease in communities.  “I imagine organizational and community spaces where all are engaged at their highest capacity, contributing to the success of their organization while simultaneously working with joy, and where organizations thrive both financially and culturally.   It is my calling to work with clients to create these spaces."  Liesbet is excited to be a part of DHTChallenge, using challenges of body, mind and spirit to connect inspiring people so that they can work together to build resilience, grit, and community.
